Rodney Young became President of Delta Dental of Nebraska and Delta Dental of Minnesota January 1, 2012.

Young is considered a strategic and visionary executive leader with hands-on business experience that encompasses a continuum of med-tech, health management, dental insurance, pharmaceutical and wellness-related industries in the areas of strategy development, international development, product development and launch, business development, sales, and marketing.

Prior to joining Delta Dental, Young served as CEO of Angeion Corporation (now MGC Diagnostics), a publicly held medical device manufacturer. He has also served as Chair, CEO and President of LecTec Corporation, as Vice President at Chicago-based Baxter International, held several positions within 3M’s medical products division, and began his career in pharmaceutical sales with Upjohn.

In addition to executive leadership, Young has 20 years’ experience serving on boards of publicly traded and nonprofit corporations with revenues ranging from $14 million to $19 billion. These include Bolder Options, Minnesota Public Radio, Delta Dental of Minnesota, Delta Dental Plans Association, Allina Health System, Angeion Corporation, Health Fitness Corporation, LecTec Corporation (Chair) and Possis Corporation. In addition to these boards, Young is a member of the Minnesota Business Partnership.
